Improving the UX of a library’s online catalog can be challenging due to limited access to the software’s codebase and finding a balance of making design decisions which serve both a diverse community of customers and accommodating staff workflows. This presentation will review user research techniques and design decisions applied to a catalog redesign, while also discussing ways to collect feedback from both staff and customers so that all voices are heard during the process.
