This presentation will describe an exploratory study on student research strategies conducted at an academic library. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to use cognitive mapping in their own research and the benefits of grounded theory. The types of results that can arise from this research will also be discussed, including studying habits and patterns, the role of affect in research, and how academic libraries can better meet students’ needs.
